On October 5 th , Ambassador agents and staff participated in the National Day of Honor for Veterans Disabled for Life, with a gigantic turnout at our local Veterans Hospital. This program, which was sponsored by the Lois Pope Foundation and was voted on by Congress to be an annual day celebrated every October 5 th , was simply remarkable.
The Palm Beach Symphony Orchestra was there playing patriotic songs, The Dreyfoos School for The Arts Choir and the world-famous USO Show Troup performed for over 300 guests, veterans and military personnel. The BIG entertainment was Tony Orlando who years ago penned and sang the legendary song, “Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Old Oak Tree” along with his many other famous songs.
