For years, Renato’s in Palm Beach has been known for its fine cuisine and service, but these days, tea drinkers may have noticed something else.

The elegant restaurant in the heart of Via Mizner has been offering a luxe tea that commands its own menu.

Several blends of Tea Forté are featured at Renato’s. Massachusetts-based Tea Forté prides itself on “making no compromises” on the quality of its globally sourced teas.

Renato’s features eight of the brand’s blends ($8 each) ranging from Bombay chai to Earl Gray, Chamomile Citron and Ginger Lemongrass.

Those single-serving pouches are silky pyramid-shaped Tea Forté-designed “infusers” with a wire stem topped with a tiny green leaf design.

The pouches steeped in Tea Forté-designed tea pots, and tea is then poured into Tea Forté-designed cups.

“The teas are wonderful and the presentation is beautiful,” says Jose-Luis Duran, who co-owns Renato’s with his restaurateur and mother, Arlene Desiderio.

A few years ago, Duran said, “My mother had tried it (Tea Forté) in a hotel while traveling and always remembered it fondly, and then my wife and I had been using it at home. So, when the subject of revamping our tea program at Renato’s came up, it was a no-brainer.”
